Train-Tempo Collision: Death Toll rises to 14

TNI Bureau: The death toll in yesterday’s train-tempo collission in Odisha’s Sambalpur district has gone up to 14, as one of the injured succumbed to the injuries today. At least 13 people had died yesterday.

The mishap had taken place at Khairpalli between Sambalpur and Maneswar. The tempo was hit by Rourkela-Bhubaneswar InterCity Express at an unmanned level crossing.

The tempo was carrying women agricultural labourers from Analapalli to Sindurpanka. The dead included 13 women labourers and the driver of the vehicle.
