Tamil Nadu Gas Leak: Odisha Govt Hikes Ex-Gratia to ₹10 Lakh

TNI Bureau: The Odisha government has increased the compensation for the families of Odia workers who died in the ammonia gas leak incident in Tamil Nadu’s Tiruvallur district from ₹4 lakh to ₹10 lakh.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi expressed deep grief over the deaths and conveyed his condolences to the bereaved families. Earlier, he had announced financial assistance of ₹4 lakh each from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) for the next of kin of the deceased workers.

The Chief Minister has now enhanced the compensation amount to ₹10 lakh for each affected family.
