Sheila’s nomination came on a day when the Delhi ACB summoned her to appear before it on August 26 in connection with the water tanker scam. Sheila, who lost the assembly polls against Kejriwal, is seen as Congress’s last hope to revive its lost glory in UP. But, political pundits believe that a person of her stature was chosen as a scapegoat so that she gets all brickbats instead of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, who will lead the poll campaign in Uttar Pradesh.
