TNI Bureau: Veteran actress Sharmila Tagore, widow of Indian captain MAK Pataudi, took on Indian Cricket Board BCCI for delay in making a decision over a Pataudi lecture and Pataudi Trophy for the upcoming India-England series.

Mrs Pataudi has requested the BCCI President N Srinivasan to institute the Pataudi Trophy for India-England Test series. However, the BCCI has not replied to her query.

The BCCI claims that it has taken up the issue at a working committee. However, there was some report that no working committee has been scheduled before the England series.

Earlier, Mrs Pataudi had written an email expressing her displeasure over the BCCI for failing to institute the Trophy as per the promise even after the demise of the legendary cricketer of India.
