“This was not just an attack on Britain and on the British way of life. It was also a betrayal of Islam and of the Muslim communities who give so much to our country,” said UK Prime Minister David Cameron after two Islamists hacked a soldier to death on a South London street. The attackers were British of Nigerian origin.

A clip shot by an onlooker showed a man with blood-stained hands, shouting Islamic slogans and warning of more revenge attacks on Britain for its support to war against the Muslim countries. The man further shouted, “This British soldier is an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth,” after killing the victim.

The British Police and Intelligence sleuths believe that the two Islamists might have had no direct contact with any terror groups, but could be religious fanatics. The pics of the blood-soaked killer and the dead solider on the front pages of British newspapers, has shocked the entire world. The victim was reportedly knocked over by a car before being stabbed to death.

The two suspects were injured in the gunbattle when the police tried to arrest them. Their identity has not been revealed yet. They are in the police custody and being interrogated.
