Seats increased at Two Engineering Colleges in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Odisha government increased the number of seats at two state-run engineering colleges, Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT), Burla and Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology (IGIT), Sarang.

The intake capacity at VSSUT and IGIT was enhanced to 320 and 120 respectively. Three new departments including Material engineering, Information and Technology and five year integrated basic science were also opened at Burla engineering college.

The enhanced seats would be effective from 2013-14 academic sessions. It would facilitate more students to be enrolled at two reputed engineering colleges of Odisha.

Earlier, the number of seats was raised at College of Engineering and Technology in Bhubaneswar.
