The court rejected Nupur’s review plea saying there was no merit in her petition that challenged an order by the apex court that had allowed a Ghaziabad court to frame charges against her and dentist husband Rajesh for killing their own daughter Aarushu and domestic help Hemraj in May 2008.

In her petition, Nupur had asked the court to quash the case against them in the trial court.

Along with the review petition, her bail application was also dismissed by the apex court today. However, the dentist couple has been asked to file a fresh bail petition.

While Nupur is currently lodged in Dasna jail, Rajesh Talwar is out on bail.

Earlier, the court on May 16 had reserved its order on pleas of the couple after hearing arguments by the counsels of both the sides (Talwars and CBI).

The CBI has been opposing the court to grant them bail as it believes that the couple had played key roles in killing their own daughter Aarushi and domestic help Hemraj at their Noida residence in 2008.

Aarushi was found dead with her throat slit at her Noida residence on May 15, 2008. After few hours, Hemraj’s body was discovered from the terrace of the house.
