Sanjay Dutt granted 14-day Furlough

Actor Sanjay Dutt was granted a two-week furlough on Tuesday by Pune Yerawada Central Jail authorities on medical grounds. It was a partial relief for the actor, who is currently serving sentence for illegal possession of weapons in the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts case.

Dutt left the Yerawada jail at around 9.30 am for Mumbai on a 14-day leave after his pending application for furlough was granted by the jail authorities.

The actor is serving a jail term after he surrendered before a Special TADA Court in Mumbai in May following the Supreme Court’s verdict on March 21, 2013.
