Sachin fails, Rajasthan crush Mumbai

Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar failed in the crunch match, as his team Mumbai Indians suffered a humiliating 87-run loss to Rajasthan Royals, which registered fourth victory in five matches to move to the top of the table.

Earlier, Rajasthan Royals won the toss and elected to bat first. They posted 179/3 in 20 overs, thanks to Shane Watson (31), Ajinkya Rahane (68*), Dishant Yagnik (34) and Brad Hodge (27*). Rishi Dhawan took two wickets.

Chasing a victory target of 180, Mumbai lost wickets at regular intervals and bowled out for 92 in 18.2 overs. Sachin Tendulkar scored just one. Skipper Ricky Ponting failed yet again. He made just 4. Dinesh Karthik was the top scorer at 30. Rayudu made 27. James Faulkner took three wickets, while Ajit Chandila and Stuart Binny took two wickets each. Rahane was declared ‘Man of the Match’.
