Rs 42 crore found from Forest Officer in MP

TNI Bureau: A Forest officer was found corrupt after the Madhya Pradesh Lokayukta recovered property and valuables worth Rs 42 crore during a raid. The raid was conducted at the Chief Conservator of Forest BK Singh’s residences at Ujjain and Bhopal.

The Lokayukta began the raid at multiple locations at 5 am on Wednesday. The anti-corruption officers found Rs 7 lakh in cash and some foreign currency from two houses of BK Singh. He is the 1987 batch Indian Forest Service officer. He was found to have a hotel, petrol pump and marriage lawn in his name.

He is the owner of many lands in Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.

The officer was raided a day after the Lokayukta recovered property worth Rs 40 crore from a clerk in the electricity department.
