TNI Bureau: Rabi Kanungo, a celebrated columnist, journalist, and literary figure from Rourkela, Odisha, passed away at the age of 83 late Wednesday night at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar, where he had been undergoing treatment for illness.

A prominent name in Odia language, literature, and journalism, Kanungo served as the editor of the Odia daily Suryaprabha and was widely respected for his bold, principled, and independent journalism.
