Ranji Trophy: Maharashtra finish Day 1 at 264/7

TNI Bureau: Despite losing four wickets for just 98 runs on board, Maharashtra bounced back to end Day 1 of the Ranji Trophy tie against Odisha at 264/7. It would be difficult for the Odisha team to take a lead in the first innings if Maharashtra scores in excess of 350.

Earlier, Odisha won the toss and elected to field first at the VSS Stadium in Sambalpur. Basant Mohanty was the most successful bowler, as he took two wickets. Ankit Bawne scored 51, while Chirag Khurana made 48. Harshad Khadiwale (43), Virag Awate (25) and Kedar Jadhav (33) were the other top contributors.
