By early 2016, all tendering for Indian Railways will be done online. All contracts will be on e-tendering platform.

Tendering in the Railways used to earlier take sometimes six years, especially for large tenders. The time gap has been reduced to six months now and it would be reduced more in future. Coach roll out would be much faster than expected.
