President Droupadi Murmu to perform ‘Pind Daan’ at Sweta Ganga on Feb 4

TNI Bureau: Puri has been declared a no-flying zone in view of President Droupadi Murmu’s visit to the city on February 3 and 4, 2026. The district administration has tightened security arrangements across the city.

The President will arrive in Puri on February 3 for a two-day visit, reflecting her deep cultural and spiritual connection with Odisha. She will stay overnight in the holy city and take part in important religious rituals.

On February 4, she will begin her day at 7:00 AM by performing Pind Daan at Swetaganga. She will then proceed to the Jagannath Temple between 7:40 AM and 8:20 AM to offer prayers and have darshan of Lord Jagannath. She will be ceremonially received at the Lion Gate (Sinhadwar) by the Gajapati Maharaja and the Chhatisa Niyog Nayak.
