TNI Bureau: The Odisha Legislative Assembly has reconstituted its Standing, House and Departmentally Related Standing Committees for the financial year 2026-27, with BJD Chief Whip Pramila Mallik appointed as Chairperson of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC).

Senior BJP MLA Jayanarayan Mishra has been named Chairman of the Estimates Committee, while Padmalochan Panda will head the Committee on Public Undertakings and Bhaskar Madhei the Committee on Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. Other key appointments include Akash Dasnayak as Chairman of the Library Committee, Simarani Nayak as Chairperson of the Committee on Women and Child Welfare, and Ashok Mohanty as Chairman of the Committee on Government Assurances.

The Assembly has also constituted nine Departmentally Related Standing Committees to oversee the functioning of government departments. In addition, several House and Special Committees have been reconstituted to examine issues such as the Mahanadi water dispute, Jagannath Temple development, environmental pollution, power distribution, displacement due to development projects, railway expansion, inter-state boundary disputes and linguistic minorities.
