Musharraf returned to Karachi along with his wife on Sunday. He was greeted by thousands of supporters of his party – All Pakistan Muslim League. He would participate in the historic elections in Pakistan, which is scheduled to be held on May 11.

On the lines of Narendra Modi’s “India First” slogan, Musharraf chanted “Pakistan First” upon his arrival in Karachi. He was living in London and Dubai during his exile. The Pakistan Taliban has threatened to assassinate Musharraf and claimed to have formed a team of suicide bombers to carry out the attacks.
