Rehman Malik reportedly failed to provide evidences to justify his claim that he has already renounced the British nationality. That prompted the apex court to suspend him from the Senate.

The court also cancelled the National Assembly membership of Farahnaz Isfahhani – the wife of Pakistan’s former ambassador in US, Hussain Haqqani. At least 15 Parliamentarians in Pakistan are facing charges of dual nationality.
