Over 7 Lakh Bogus Voters found in Odisha

TNI Bureau: According to the press release of State Election Commission, Odisha has over seven lakh bogus voters, which include dead, migrated and duplicate ones. At least 5,00,706 voters will be removed from the voter list.

State Chief Election Commissioner Dr. Mona Sharma said that all those voters will be issued a notice shortly. After the completion of all formalities, a final decision to remove them from the list will be taken by December 10, 2012.

As per the reports, 11,51,484 people have applied for new registration in voter list, while 2,06,810 have sought the removal of their names. Around 2,92,603 applications have been received for correction of the names and other details.
