Also notices have been served to nearly 88,300 subscribers, who are involved in similar violations, said Minister of State for Communications and IT, Milind Deora in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha on Friday.

As per the Telecom Commercial Communications Customer Preference Regulations, 2010, the subscriber, who is not registered with the telecom regulator TRAI as a telemarketer, is not allowed to make any commercial communications.

If the subscriber is found guilty of violating the rule, will be served a notice for disconnection.
