Low intensity Blast in Pune, 1 Child injured

TNI Bureau: A low intensity blast rocked Pune on Friday afternoon leaving one child injured. Police denied terming it as terror attack. The injured child has been admitted to a hospital.

The explosion took place at around 3:30 pm at Laxmi Tara Complex in Dange Chowk of Pimpri Chinchwad in Pune when a five-year-old boy Piyush Santosh Walunj found a packet and lifted it.

Police are investigating the explosion. The blast occurred a few days after the city was rocked by four serial explosions on August 1. The blasts had taken place at Balgandharva Theatre, Dena Bank branch, a McDonalds food outlet and Garware bridge between 7.37 and 8.15 pm in which 2 people were injured.
