TNI Bureau: The Government of Odisha is set to commemorate its two-year anniversary in office from June 12th to 21st, opting for a subdued public outreach campaign instead of elaborate celebrations. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has instructed officials to conduct the observance with simplicity and restraint, mindful of the ongoing crisis in West Asia.
A preparatory meeting, presided over by the Chief Minister, convened at Lok Seva Bhavan in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday to finalize the anniversary program. Emphasizing that the government’s successes are shared with the public, the Chief Minister directed departments to ensure that the advantages and successful outcomes of welfare initiatives are communicated to every citizen.
Rather than extensive festivities, the government will concentrate on disseminating information about its achievements through print, electronic, and social media, supplemented by the distribution of booklets and leaflets. Officials have also been tasked with highlighting the positive impact of various public welfare schemes on the lives of ordinary citizens throughout the state.
This ten-day initiative will unfold at both state and district levels, structured around seven key themes: Shakti Odisha, Samruddha Krushi Odisha, Sustha Odisha, Nirmana Odisha, Utkarsha Odisha, Janashakti Odisha, and Kaushala Odisha. The events will also serve to articulate the government’s strategic vision and future roadmap for Odisha spanning the years 2026 to 2036.
Ministers have been directed to hold press conferences to detail their respective departments’ accomplishments over the past two years and to publish informative materials aimed at enhancing public awareness.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Chief Ministers Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and Pravati Parida, along with Ministers Suresh Pujari (Revenue and Disaster Management), Prithviraj Harichandan (Law), and Rabi Narayan Naik (Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water), as well as senior advisors and principal government officials.
