Odisha Government Revises Contract Carriage Fare Rates

TNI Bureau: The Odisha government has revised the fare structure for contract carriages, including motor cabs, auto-rickshaws, and e-rickshaws, across the state.

As per the Commerce and Transport Department order dated February 5, 2026, the new rates will apply for the purpose of claiming travelling allowances by government officials.

Under the revised rates:

E-rickshaws will charge ₹8 per km, with a minimum fare of ₹30.

Auto-rickshaws will charge ₹9 per km, with a minimum fare of ₹30.

Non-luxury motor cars will charge ₹14 per km, with a minimum fare of ₹75.

Luxury A/C cars will charge ₹16 per km, with a minimum fare of ₹85.

Premium luxury cars will charge ₹19 per km, with a minimum fare of ₹100.

The revised fares take effect from the date of issue of the order.
