TNI News Desk: Odisha DGP Abhay has warned the people who spread fake or hateful/communal messages or malicious information and rumors related to Coronavirus on Social Media that trigger panic or lead to bitterness among the people.

Strong action will be taken against such people as directed by CM Naveen Patnaik, said DGP Abhay. He requested people to cross check and verify with the police if they get any suspicious messages instead of forwarding those on Social Media platforms.
Odisha Government’s COVID-19 Spokesperson Subroto Bagchi also warned against the misuse of social media, saying such people won’t get away as their digital footprint will be easily traced by the law enforcement authorities.
