TNI Bureau: The Odisha government has approved a detailed project report (DPR) worth Rs 99.75 crore to develop Satkosia Wildlife Sanctuary into a world-class eco-tourism hub.
Under the project, modern tourism infrastructure will be created to attract visitors, with six key locations identified within the tiger reserve for development. New entry points will be constructed at Purunakote, Jagannathpur and Tikarpada, along with additional access points at Baliput, Kusang and Chhamundia.
Facilities planned include food courts, floating jetties, campfire areas, watchtowers and river-view decks to enhance the visitor experience while promoting sustainable tourism.
The project aims to position Satkosia as a major eco-tourism destination and boost nature-based tourism in the region.
