The Pakistani delegation was in Ahmedabad the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit (VGGS) 2013. They were politely asked to return home in the wake of heightened tension between India and Pakistan on the Border.

The delegates were asked to stay inside the hotel and did not even get the permission to go for a sightseeing of Ahmedabad. The business delegate from Pakistan, included businessmen from textiles, chemicals and gems and jewellery.

However, some other reports maintained that the delegates could attend the summit, as they had the visa for Ahmedabad and the summit was held in Gandhinagar.
