Narendra-ModiModi also appealed to the people of Gujarat to make household kits for Uttarakhand disaster victims so that they can be sent to Uttarakhand. He also urged the people to donate to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund with a liberal heart so that those funds can be properly utilised in the relief and rehabilitation work in Uttarakhand.

Modi’s statement regarding the status of Gujaratis in Uttarakhand, has negated a story published in the media that he rescued 15,000 Gujaratis from Uttarakhand during the disaster.
