TNI Bureau: BJD Rajya Sabha MP Manas Mangaraj has strongly condemned the controversial remarks made by BJP MP Nishikant Dubey against legendary leader Biju Patnaik, calling them “deeply offensive” and an attempt to distort history.
In a post on social media platform X, Mangaraj expressed anguish over what he described as “half-baked narratives” being used to malign the legacy of a towering freedom fighter and statesman. He asserted that such statements are not only factually incorrect but also an insult to the pride and sentiments of the people of Odisha.
Mangaraj emphasized that Biju Patnaik’s contributions to India’s freedom struggle and nation-building are well documented and beyond question. He accused Dubey of trying to build a misleading political narrative by selectively presenting facts.
“The legacy of Biju Babu cannot be diminished by irresponsible remarks,” Mangaraj stated, urging leaders to exercise restraint and uphold dignity in public discourse.
The remarks have triggered sharp reactions across Odisha, with political leaders and citizens rallying in defense of Biju Patnaik’s legacy, underscoring his enduring stature as a revered national icon.
