Mourning at Chepauk, as Sachin departs on 81

Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar yet again failed to score a hundred, leaving thousands of spectators at his favourite Chepauk Ground in mourning. Tendulkar was clean-bowled by Nathan Lyon. He scored 81.

Tendulkar, whose last Test Hundred came in January 2011 against South Africa in Cape Town. That was his 51st Test Hundred. Over two years have passed since then. And, Sachin is yet to score a test century. He has played 32 innings after that last test ton. And, his average has been little over 33.

In reply to Australia’s 380, India were 237/4 when reports last received. Kohli is batting on 69, while Dhoni is batting on 25.
