Maoists in Odisha use Chinese Grenades!

The security forces need to be more cautious during anti-Maoist operation in the tribal districts of Odisha as the red rebels are reportedly using Chinese grenades to target police personnel and government offices.

The report was confirmed after Border Security Force (BSF) and Odisha police in a joint operation in Koraput district seized materials included three Chinese made grenades. The security forces recovered huge explosives during raid at certain places in the dense forest of Pinamali under Narayanpatna police station.

The explosives were found in a plastic container from the Maoist hideout. However, no injury has been reported. The explosives included 3 Chinese grenades, 117 gelatin sticks, 30 kg of iron chips, one live landmine, 22 packet of liquid explosive and two packet of live wire. It could have brought massive destruction in that area if exploded.
