Major Gubernatorial Reshuffle: New Appointments Announced

TNI Bureau: In a significant administrative reshuffle, the President of India has accepted the resignation of C. V. Ananda Bose as the Governor of West Bengal. Following the development, a series of new gubernatorial and lieutenant governor appointments have been announced across several states and Union Territories.

Currently serving as the Governor of Tamil Nadu, R. N. Ravi has been appointed as the new Governor of West Bengal.
In another key change, Shiv Pratap Shukla, the Governor of Himachal Pradesh, has been appointed as the Governor of Telangana. He will replace Jishnu Dev Varma, who has now been appointed as the Governor of Maharashtra.

Senior BJP leader Nand Kishore Yadav has been appointed as the Governor of Nagaland, while retired army officer Syed Ata Hasnain will take charge as the Governor of Bihar.

Meanwhile, Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, currently the Governor of Kerala, has been assigned the additional responsibility of discharging the functions of the Governor of Tamil Nadu.

In the Union Territories, Kavinder Gupta, currently the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, has been appointed as the Governor of Himachal Pradesh. Vinai Kumar Saxena, the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, will now serve as the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh.

Former diplomat Taranjit Singh Sandhu has been appointed as the new Lieutenant Governor of Delhi.

The sweeping changes mark a major administrative reshuffle across several states and Union Territories, aimed at strengthening governance and administrative coordination.
