TNI Bureau: The HRD Ministry has launched the much-awaited low-cost Aakash Tablet at a 50% subsidized rate, which means it is available at Rs 1,130. If the states also decide to give a subsidy, it could be available at free of cost.
Datawind is selling the tablets to HRD Ministry at Rs 2,263. But, the centre has given a 50% concession on all tablets, making it Rs 1,130. The Aakash 2 has more features as compared to its previous version.
