London 2012: India suffer 5th Straight Loss in Hockey

TNI Bureau: India remained win-less even after playing all five matches in the Group for the first time in the history of Olympic Games. With the fifth straight loss, India will now play for the 11th-12th position and heading for their worst-ever finish in the games.

India never looked in the game today and displayed poor hockey throughout. The team ,which won bronze medal at Sultan Azlan Shah Cup, has turned out to be the worst team in the London Olympics.

For Belgium, K Jereome Deyske (15th), Gautheir Boccard (46th) and Tom Boon (67th) scored the goals. India had lost to the Netherlands 2-3, New Zealand 1-3, Germany 2-5, and South Korea 1-4 in previous matches. They lost to Belgium 0-3 today.

Belgium scored their first-ever victory over India in field hockey at the Olympics. They will now play for 5-6 position, while India will take on South Africa for the 11th-12th position.
