Lightning kills 12 People in Odisha

By Vishal Bhowmick: At least twelve people were killed and many others injured in separate lightning incidents in different place of Odisha after heavy rains lashed parts of Coastal and North Odisha yesterday.

LightningDeceased were from Khurda, Cuttack and Sundargarh district. While six people died in Khurda district, five in Cuttack in lightning strike. Two people of Kusamati village and four people of Kaipadar in Khurda district died of lightning.

Similarly five deaths were reported from Cuttack district. While two deaths occurred at Badasamantapur of Chowdwar, other deaths were reported from Kochila, Nuagaon and Jurei. One person died at Kalopada village under Talasara Police Station in Sundergarh district.
