TNI Bureau: Tragedy struck Koraput district, as a Class III Tribal Student Premananda Bhatra died of an accident at Gandhi Nagar Residential School in Kotpad when a Notice Board Wall fell on him.

Another Class II student Sana Bhatra was critically injured. Two other students Siba Bhatra and Kiran Bhatra were also injured in the incident.
Questions have been raised on the school management over this shocking tragedy. While BJD leaders have protested against the incident, locals had blocked the road for several hours.
PCC President Bhakta Charan Das has raised concerns over the incident and sought strong action against the guilty for negligence while demanding adequate compensation for the victim’s family.
