Karnataka BJP in Crisis, Two Ministers Resign

Date:

TNI Bureau: The BJP-led Karnataka government plunged into deep crisis, as two Ministers close to former CM BS Yeddyurappa, Shobha Karandlaje and CM Udasi tendered their resignation on Wednesday. Other rebels too wanted to resign and asked the Governor to intervene.

At least 12 rebel BJP MLAs had reached the Speaker’s office to quit from the Assembly. However, Speaker KG Bopaiah had left for Nepal on Tuesday evening. As there was nobody to accept their resignation letters, they created a ruckus and met the government to apprise of the situation.

BS Yeddyurappa too slammed the government and asked Shettar to resign immediately to avoid a constitutional crisis in Karnataka. It would be interesting to see what decision Governor HR Bhardwaj takes to deal with the situation.
