With the latest seizure, more raids are likely to be conducted in several places in Hyderabad, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Mumbai and New Delhi to get clues about that spot-fixing.

Sreesanth had reportedly received money from the bookies. While Chandila got Rs 20 lakh, he had to return it to the bookies after he failed to give the signal as discussed with the bookies. Chavan, however, was to receive Rs 60 lakh but was arrested before he could get the money. Delhi Police revealed that Jiju Janardhanan was assisting Sreesanth in spot-fixing deals.

BCCI chief N Srinivasan said that he will discuss with the anti-corruption unit of the ICC and find out what has steps have been taken and what more can be done. Following the arrest of Sreesanth, Chavan and Chandila, the Indian cricket board will take strong steps required to eradicate fixing in cricket.

He said that IPL has not let down people, it is the dirty cricketers who have done this. Talking tough on the tainted cricketers, he said that the dirty cricketers should be sent to jail. If they are found guilty, should not be allowed to play anymore.

He made it clear that there was transparency in auction. If franchisees have done something wrong, police will probe the matter.
