IPL 6: Kolkata beat Delhi by 6 Wickets

Sunil Narine triggered a massive batting collapse in the Delhi Daredevils batting line-up, as defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) prevailed in the opening game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 6. KKR won the match by 6 wickets.

Earlier, Kolkata won the toss and elected to field first. From a comfortable 44/1, Daredevils bowled out for 128 in 20 overs. Jayawardene made 66, while Warner scored 21. None other batsmen reached the double digit score. Sunil Narine took four wickets for just 13 runs. Brett Lee and Rajat Bhatia took two wickets each.

Despite losing Manvinder Bisla early, KKR batted well and reached the target in 18.4 overs. They lost four wickets in the process. Gambhir was the top scorer with 42. Kallis and Manoj Tiwary scored 23 runs each. Nadeem took two wickets. Narine was declared ‘Man of the Match’.
