Industrial Accidents claim 88 lives in Odisha in Two Years

TNI Bureau: While replying to a question in Odisha Assembly today, Labour and Employment Minister Bijayshree Routray revealed that at least 88 workers died in accidents at various industrial units across the state in the last two years.

Bhushan Steel plant in Dhenkanal alone accounted for 15 deaths. The Minister assured the House that adequate safety measures would be taken before operation of the plants and he will entrust that task to relevant authorities.
