1) Senior journalist and Editor-in-Chief of NewsX channel, Jehangir Pocha, passed away this morning at his Gurgaon residence at the age of 46. He was co-founder of IndiMedia Pvt Ltd. PM Narendra Modi condoled the demise of Pocha. Born on January 29, 1968, Jehangir Pocha is survived by wife, two sons (Darius and Adi) and a daughter (Daeya).

2) The Government of India has sacked Virendra Kataria as the Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry in a late night move. Lt. General (Retd.) Ajay Kumar Singh, Lieutenant Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, will hold the additional charge of Puducherry.

3) At least 10 people were injured in clashes between two groups of students at Purkazi town of Muzaffarnagar district in Uttar Pradesh.
