TNI Bureau: Chinese networking and telecommunications equipment and services company Huawei launched its ‘Huawei E355’ WiFi data card on Monday in Indian market. The device is priced at Rs. 5,499.
The Huawei E355 Wi-Fi data card functions both as a data card for a single user and as a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot, which can all together connect up to five Wi-Fi-enabled devices.
Victor Shanxin, President, Huawei Device India said, “With the expanding usage of Internet by multiple family members on devices like Gaming consoles, Music Pods, Smarter TVs, Tablets etc, we feel that E355 Wi-Fi Data Card is ideally suited for the internet hungry families” during the launch. The device comes with a USB interface.
The company claims that the data card tenders faster HSPA+ 21 Mbps DL and 5.76Mbps UL speed. It seems to be developed for SOHO (Small Office, Home Office) users, business professionals and families.
It is also claimed that the device is equipped with Type3i technology that provides up to 20 per cent more upload and download speed compared to non Type3i devices which can provide faster browsing speed even if they are not in proper signal conditions or facing congestion in network.
