TNI Bureau: Last night’s shootout at a Gurudwara at Oak Creek in Wisconsin in the US, left seven people dead, including the gunman, who carried out the massacre. At least 20 others were injured in the shootout.
At least 300 Sikhs were present at the shrine for morning service when the incident took place. The US called it as an act of domestic terrorism, but no motive has been established yet. Even the victims are yet to be identified.
According to eyewitnesses, the gunman was bald, white man. He was heavily built and was in his 40s. He reportedly had a 9/11 tattoo on his arm.
US President Barack Obama has condemned the incident. The FBI has joined the probe to speed up the investigation. India has condemned the killing and has assured the SGPC and people of India of quick action.
