TNI Bureau: Just a day after the ‘Chintan Shivir’ of the Congress Party, the government has given another jolt to the common people by hiking the import duty on gold and platinum.

The import duty was raised from 4% to 6%. Since the wedding season has already started, the consumers will have a tough time to deal with the rising gold prices.
