The ruling came after the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge filed a case against the magazine for selling and distributing the future queen’s sunbathing topless photos.

As per the order, Closer would be fined €10,000 ($13,116) for every breach if it re-publishes the photos. Even the magazine has been directed to hand over the original photos to the royal couple.

The photographs were taken while Kate was taking sunbath without top during a private holiday with her husband at the French chateau of the Queen’s nephew, Lord Linley, in Provence.

The royal couple had filed a law suit alleging the magazine has breached their privacy.
