For Rahul Gandhi, Poverty Just ‘A State of Mind’

AICC Vice President and ‘Yuvraj’ of the Congress Party, Rahul Gandhi, has created a stir when he termed poverty in India just as “a state of mind”. Although the Congress tried to defend Rahul’s remarks, the Opposition has got an issue to rake up.

rahul_gandhiWhile addressing a function in Allahabad, Rahul said, “Poverty is just a state of mind. It does not mean scarcity of food, money or material things. If one possesses self-confidence, then one can overcome poverty,”.

Soon after the news was flashed, social media became abuzz with jokes and criticism about Rahul Gandhi. The netizens targeted Rahul for his “irresponsible” and “immature” remark.
