TNI Bureau: Contrary to the claims made by Barasat police in West Bengal that Asian Games Gold Medalist Pinki Pramanik is a male, the Hindustan Times quoted the doctors, who said Pinki is not a male, but a “male pseudo hermaphrodite”.

According to the doctors, Pinki is neither a male nor a female. She is a male pseudo hermaphrodite, which is a case of genetic disorder. Pinki too had claimed that she had developed excessive male hormone after taking the medicines required for an athlete.

However, the police have filed a chargesheet against Pinki on counts of rape, cheating and holding out threats to her former live-in partner. The police concluded that Pinki is a male having ability to rape. Now it would be interesting to see what the court decides on this.
