Devastation caused in Ganjam District by Cyclone Phailin

Ganjam suffered the most during the Cyclone Phailin on October 12-13, 2013. The destruction and devastation caused huge loss across the district. The restoration of power services remain a big challenge, while communication and transport links are being restored very fast.

The ODRAF teams are trying hard to restore normalcy, while relief and rehabilitation work have already begun. The administration is leaving no stoned unturned to make things better for the common people. Sagar Satapathy, Editor of The News Insight, had a trip to cyclone-ravaged Ganjam district on October 16 to get the visuals of devastation and restoration work.
