Members of the Kisan Mahasabha who came from adjacent areas of Sonepat and Panipat clashed with Congress workers. The police were also attacked when they tried to intervene and stop the scuffle.

The clash was expected as the Congress workers and Khurshid’s supporters had threatened not to let Kejriwal reach the protest site. However, IAC activists remained firm and moved towards to join the rally against Khurshid, who is accused of siphoning off lakhs of money meant for physically handicapped people, from the Trust.

Kejriwal dared to take on Khurshid in his own bastion on charges of corruption.
