Col. Prithipal, only Officer to serve in IAF, Navy & Army turns 100

TNI Bureau:  Colonel Prithipal Singh Gill, the only Indian who has served in the Indian Air Force, Indian Navy and the Indian Army turned 100 years old on Friday.

Gill, a resident of Chandigarh, started his military career as a pilot in the British Royal Indian Air force in the year 1942 as a flight cadet.

He served during World War-II and the 1965 India-Pakistan War.

In a career spanning nearly three decades, Col Gill served as a flying cadet, a Navy officer before finally retiring as a colonel.
