The Champions League Twenty20 kicked off to a great start last night with Rajasthan Royals scoring an emphatic victory over IPL Champions Mumbai Indians. Both Sachin Tendulkar (15) and Rahul Dravid (1) failed in the match.

Rajasthan RoyalsRajasthan won the toss and elected to field first. Mumbai managed to score just 142/7 in 20 overs. Rohit Sharma (44) and Kieron Pollard (42) were the top scorers. For Rajasthan, Vikramjeet Malik took three wickets.

In reply, Rajasthan Royals lost Dravid early, but Rahane (33), Sanju Samson (54), Shane Watson (27*) and Stuart Binny (27*) powered the team to an easy victory, as they reached 148/3 in 19.4 overs. Vikramjeet Malik was declared ‘Man of the Match’.
