TNI Bureau: Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) director David Petraeus has resigned for allegedly having an extramarital affair. The top official of the US, who had served as the military commander in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, said that his type of act was not acceptable. He has reportedly submitted his resignation to the newly re-elected US President Barack Obama at White House.

The move shocked all the officials and President Obama. According to foreign media reports, he said, “After being married for over 37 years, I showed extremely poor judgment by engaging in an extramarital affair. Such behaviour is unacceptable, both as a husband and as the leader of an organisation such as ours”.

President Obama also accepted his resignation and hailed Petraeus for his extraordinary service at the CIA.
